Burger Joint (Midtown)
Hidden past the check-in desk at Le Parker Meridian Hotel in Midtown Manhattan lies Burger Joint. Like its own Red Light District, a simple neon sign sits outside testing your will and desire to do something a bit regretful.
With a no frills (nicely put) dining area inside, BJ offers exactly what you want - burgers, fries and beer.
Is the Corner Bistro burger REALLY the best!?
Its been a few weeks now but did you see Corner Bistro was named the 2011 Best cheeseburger in New York City by The New York Daily News.
Great news but is it really THE best cheeseburger in all of New York City or is it 6 degrees of separation?
My case:
Tonight, I caught the HIMYM episode where Marshall cant for the life of him remember the location of the best burger joint in NYC that he’d ever eaten at. Throughout the episode, he’s tries place after place all while friends and complete strangers suggest someplace different, someplace ‘great’.
Long story short, they are at the bar drinking when one guy overhears their conversation and says -
“Hey man, it was called The Corner Bistro!”
To which Marshall replies, “Thanks guy! You only pointed out the highest-rated burger in the Zagat guide! Let me return the favor: Want a great cup of coffee…It’s at Starbucks.”
So there you have it.
Is Corner Bistro really the best burger or is it just the most famous?
